The season of mangoes, rain and of course the IB Exams
Ah my favourite time of the year. Its perfect!!!!! Rain, Mangoes and the sweet, sweet scent of the earth!! All distractions for the preparation for....THE IB EXAMS...yes the final one...To a lot of people this is a spoiler. Nail biting tension on how the paper is going to be, stress and all the other wagons. However, i have mixed feelings. The stereotypical tensions and nervousness along with a sense of happiness or content to be precise. The feeling of content because its over, 2 years worth of knowledge to be tested, some to be retained while other discarded. The weather also helps lifting the spirits. It is an end to life as a lot of high school goers know it because after this we will be joining the macrocosm, forming new bonds etc. To me, this is scary. The friends, the fun, the teachers ( good and bad), the familiar faces, it is too much to leave to repeat the nervous day 1 in college. Therefore, this time brings along mixed feelings. everything that makes up these memories is precious whether they are good or bad elements. Bad elements are important as they help us appreciate and value the good ones. If good things kept repeating, then they would be taken for granted. Bad weather makes us thank the stars for good weather. We become attached to good people because of bad people. School is more fun because the bad teachers give us reasons to make it fun. So go ahead..enjoy what you have and appreciate the bad things to because they make the good things good. :)
Ciao
