Tulshibaug and Lakshmi Road
I love Tulshibaug and Lakshmi road. It is quintessentially Pune. Especially Tulshibaug. That is where hustle and bustle meets calm and quiet. Here are some random shots of my favourite places on Lakshmi Road and in Tulshibaug.
The Khadi store has some amazing bags and skincare. Neon Soap, scrubs, oils and the works at reasonable rates. Jyuss. Can't afford forest essentials, this might be for you :)
Neon madness continues in one of the numerous weddingy clothing stores. A tip: Explore the smaller boutiques for wedding clothes. The bigger ones will blind you with their prices and their clothes.
For some custom made goodiness, hit Lunkad or Fashion fabrics. Pick your cloth of choice and then head to the lace shops in tulshibaug to pick out the perfect embellishments. There is one in Tulshibaug (Abhinav or Anurag). Go to the mall near the Basil hotel where there is a lace shop too.
Pretty Prints in Bombay Dyeing on Laksmi Road
Taken outside a tea store opposite Bombay Dyeing on L:akshmi Road. Along with a variety of teas, they sell unsweetened cocoa ( for those who miss their Hershey's fix)
Onto Tulshibaug now :)
Candyland :D
Little biscuits and Cheeselings
Energy drink.
Hit a tree? Build around it!
The Ram temple. This is the old Tulshibaug which still retains it quaintness.
Little utensils or 'Bhatukali'. This section also has some beautiful brass sculptures and knicknacks.
The majestic Vishrambaug wada which now houses the post office and the NGO 'SMILE'. They have some very pretty clothing :)
I saw neon suits too once and realized how much of a trend it is.
